About 〰️

growing up Latinx in the south I’ve dealt with lots of personal struggle with identity and culture. the son of immigrant parents from Mexico, I grew up different - or so the saying goes -

de ni aquí ni allá (from neither here nor there)

but while in that struggle, I don't just remember the struggle but also the- JOY. you might remember your mama cooking you huevos rancheros in the morning, or the smell of la carne asada your dad was grilling. you remember the smell of café en las mañanas con la abuela or abuelo - recuerdos.

these memories mold us into ourselves. they bred passionate, fierce, and tenacious people who all share dream of becoming somebody. there is beauty in the dreams, while also remembering where we come from which is just as important. i hope you’ll follow me as I share the many recuerdos ATL Latinx people have to offer through café y tragos.

Follow our journey.
